Hello, I’ve started my 40 day journey to fast with liquids only. I’m on day 4. I felt compelled to do this because I want to walk closer to God. I also want clarity concerning some things in my life. I did not realize it until yesterday that according to the Lutheran calendar when I’m done it will be the day before Pentecost Sunday. That was an awesome revelation to me. I’m excited to see what God is going to reveal to me. I’m expecting something wonderful. At the same time, I’m doing the Purpose Driven Life. What’s interesting is that so far, my time of devotion has been right in line with the PDL, even before I do the PDL lesson. I know that God is in this and ask for your prayers for strength. This may sound strange, but I do better when I’m in the kitchen cooking. My son is 13 so he has to eat, I been cooking like crazy since I began, it helps.
Hello I just finished up a 40 day fast on 4/24 at 10:15 pm and saw God do GREAT things this past weekend of our Youth Rally 91 people were Saved !! To God be the GLORY!!! I found that cooking did help me alot also cooked everyday for my wife and two teenage kids!!
